Signature Title
Simple Animated Signature (page 2 of 4)

If this is your first time at doing an animated signature, I suggest that you read the entire Intro page before following this tutorial.

  1. Before adding text selection, be sure that you are working on Layer 1

  1. Type in your Text.
    1. Place your cursor towards the left side of your image and type in your text.
    2. Since you choose the selection type in the options bar, you will get a selection of your text instead of a colored filled text.(see figure to the right)

  1. Save your Selection.
    1. From Photoshop menus choose: "Select"
    2. Then choose: "Save Selection" (see red cursor in figure to the right)
    Note: Saving your selection is just a precaution just in case you accidently loose the mask for your text.

  1. Dialog Box: Save Selection
    1. Type in a name in the "Name" box. I used the name "vera".
    2. Click the "OK" button to save your selection (see figure to the right)

  1. Begin Painting:
    1. If you like, you can magnify the area to get a better view as you paint inside the selected area. Do this by choosing the "Zoom Tool" in the Tools palette.
    2. Start painting inside the selected area of the first letter. You will not have to worry about painting outside the desired area since the selection will prohibit painting outside of the selection mask.
    3. Be sure to paint to the edges of the selection mask.
    Note: Keep in mind what you learned in the Intro tutorial about painting postions.
